Auroville wants to be a universal town where men and women of all countries are able to live in peace and progressive harmony above all creeds, all politics and all nationalities. The purpose of Auroville is to realize human unity. It is a live-in campus of ongoing research and development, not a tourist destination.
Auroville has a zero tolerance for drugs, alcohol and tobacco, as per the guidelines given by The Mother. All visitors, guests and inhabitants of Auroville are requested to strictly abstain from drugs, alcohol or tobacco on Auroville land, including its restaurants, guest houses, cafés and any other Auroville area.
Auroville reserves the right to remove any person from its premises who violates this guideline.
